Target: Ken C. Baldwin, District Attorney General for Carter County, Tennessee
Goal: Punish the man who allegedly drugged and tortured a tiny kitten.
A small kitten was reportedly tortured and drugged in a horrific case of animal cruelty. She suffered serious debilitating wounds to all of her paws after her claws were seemingly removed. Demand justice for this poor cat.
“With her, there is absolutely no doubt that this is 150 percent cruelty with the intent to cause harm,” stated Dr. Brooke Jones, a veterinarian at Paws of Hope Animal Wellness Center. She and other staff were devastated at the sight of a young kitten, loving named Koa by rescuers, who had reportedly been fed methadone and later Narcan. She suffered serious wounds and to all of her paws and disorientation after the suspect allegedly removed all of her claws and whiskers. Koa’s head had also been partly shaved, authorities stated, and she still struggles to walk on her own. Every day is a new fight for this brave kitten, and she may never live a normal life.
Ryan Garland has been charged with cruelty to animals and he has been released on bond. Sign below and demand that he receive the maximum penalty possible, if convicted.
Dear District Attorney General Baldwin,
Koa means brave in Hawaiian, and there could be no better name for a little kitten who is fighting for her life after being seemingly brutally disfigured. The suspect apparently removed each of her claws on all four paws and drugged her with methadone and, later, Narcan. This left her with severe untreated wounds, veterinarians stated, and the inability to walk on her own. If that weren’t cruel enough, the suspect also apparently removed her whiskers and shaved parts of her head.
This beautiful soul barely took her first breath before enduring seemingly vicious torture at the hands of a human. These apparent acts of cruelty cannot go unpunished. I demand that you prosecute this suspect and seek the maximum penalty in this case.
