The teaser trailer for American Horror Story season 9 is here

The upcoming ninth season of American Horror Story (AHS) is called ‘1984.’ Creator Ryan Murphy revealed some details of the season in the new teaser trailer, released on 10 April.

Tell me more

The 45-second trailer shows that this season is inspired by classic ‘80s slasher movies. For example, Friday The 13th and Nightmare On Elm Street. The trailer depicts a girl being chased through the woods by a masked man with a knife. Based on her outfit, it’s safe to say this season will take place in the 1980s.

It’s been announced that AHS mainstay Evan Peters will be sitting this season out for the first time. Right now, it has only been confirmed that Gus Kenworthy and Emma Roberts will be returning to the show for the ninth season.
